The Challenge...

Between now and the end of summer SU QLD must receive $570,000 to place up to 150 new chaplains in Queensland schools, a 30% increase from current numbers!

At present, SU QLD has 500 chaplains placed in schools across Queensland. Those chaplains offer care, compassion and support to 345,000 young people statewide. With an additional 150 chaplains in schools, we can reach another 100,000 students!

Over the summer period, SU QLD will be working hard to ensure we are ready for this new wave. We will be employing support staff to recruit and induct these new chaplains. We will provide training, with high standards of professionalism beyond those set down by the Federal Government, to ensure our new chaplains are equipped to handle the challenging and vital role they are moving into in schools.
